I am a computer engineer at the Universidad ORT Uruguay with a Masters Degree in Bioinformatics from Universidad de la República. I’m currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Southern Queensland where my research focuses on detecting and analysing Jupiter analogs.

My research focuses on answering one question: How common is the Solar System? Although astronomers have detected over 4000 exoplanets, this question is still yet to be clearly and completely answered. The goal of my PhD is to contribute in the effort to reach to an answer around this question. In particular, I’m trying to determine how common are the features of the planets within our Solar System when compared to exoplanetary systems (i.e. the long period gas giants like Jupiter).
